Google announced to mix up its storage for services such as Google Drive, Gmail or the social networking service Google Plus.

Users now get 15GB of storage that is shared among Gmail, Google Drive and Google+.

Say, your Gmail account consumes near about 10 Gigabytes but you did not really make use of Google Drive or Google+ at all. For further increment in data, you have to make a backup of previous files and then delete them or go for other additional storage , to get more storage. But now you can manage the free space of Google Drive or Google+ for Gmail.

Google App users also get the shared storage feature. Google Apps users get 30 Gigabytes of unified storage across the same services with files created in Docs, Sheets or Slides, not counting against that limit.

In list of changes, Google removed the 25 Gigabyte plan for $2.49 per month from the page. Now the plans start at $4.99 per month for 100 Gigabytes.

One benefit of this new change is that Gmail users can now make use of all storage that is added to the account, and not only 25 Gigabytes like it has been previously.

It is expected that these changes come into action in the coming weeks. Gmail lovers will get good benefit from the feature.
