Finally Microsoft wave Good Bye to Hotmail

Outlook.com

Microsoft finally announced Good Bye to its email service, Hotmail. Microsoft was handling two email services at the very same time, Hotmail and Outlook.com.

Microsoft has now migrated all the Hotmail accounts and data to Outlook.com. Microsoft migrates more tan 150 petabytes to Outllok.com.

Microsoft also makes two new changes in Outlook.com. First, you can now do away with the "on behalf of" messages when you sent email using a different email address. E-mails that you sent from another account goes through the account's SMTP server now so that the recipient sees the correct email address and no longer the on behalf of information attached to it. For this, you have to enable the following features:

Click on the setting icon that appears on the top blue colored bar and choose More mail settings from the context menu.

From the newly opened page select your email accounts.
Here you need to scroll down to add an email account and add the account that you want to use this way either as a send-only account or a send and receive account.

The second feature is now users can insert files and pictures directly from SkyDrive into your Outlook.com emails. Just select insert from the menu at the top and select the share from SkyDrive option.
