Turn your Phone's camera into Webcam

Are you feeling uncomfortable while using the webcam on your laptop due to its low quality. Here is the solution. Now turn your Android phone's camera in function of the webcam.

First, you have to install an app from the plaster that can turn your phone camera and function of the webcam. Some examples of such kind of apps are IP Webcam, DroidCamX Pro and WO Webcam lite.

Here I consider IP Webcam for example purpose. After installation, go through settings option. Some are done by default and you can change any that needs to be.

Set up the required camera resolution, frames per second or FPS rate (the higher, the better), image quality and the TCP port (8080 should suffice ). It is recommended that you not set a resolution higher than that supported by the phone.

Now, for security and privacy point of view, set your user ID and password. At the bottom of the setup page you will find option to start the server, go through it and you can now see the IP address in which the camera is available, with the port that you set earlier.

After doing all this, now go to your computer and open any of available web browsers. Simply type the complete IP address (with the port). Now to view the camera across various applications, download the IP Camera Adaptor. Install it and set it up according to your phone's setting. You're set!
