Facebook Phone : the HTC First Review

So finally,  Facebook Phone : the HTC First released.

It is a mid range phone comes with pre-installed suped-up version of Facebook Home. The edges of the phone are covered with soft material to make you comfortable while holding it. It has 720p, 341 PPI display. This device runs on latest modified version of the Android Jelly Bean 4.1.

But,  Facebook and HTC sacrificed camera quality. Its 5MP camera is a let down. For connectivity, it has a very speedy LTE connection. Battery life of the phone is normal, but get down quickly if you turned up the brightness of the phone.

Home screen and lock screen of the phone will display big notification tiles. This includes Facebook alerts about tags and likes, but also incoming emails, calendar appointments, Twitter replies, and more. Cover Feed fills your home and lock screens with a full-screen, one-story-at-a-time stream of the best updates from your news feed.

Incoming Facebook Messages and SMS pop up as little bubbles of friends’ faces, float over the top of whatever app you’re using. Tap one and you're allowed to conversation with your friend.

The most problematic is its standard Camera app. When you take a shot with its 5MP camera, it gives you almost blurry images, and is even worse in low light.

If you want the latest technology, the First lags behind. Still, it’s a great device beyond the camera.
