Facebook now on way to test a new feature for timeline. It's a new button that will appear on the top of the homepage that allow users to post directly to their Timeline, doesn't matter what page they're on.
In the following screenshot, the marked icon shows the button :
When user click on this button - which is on top-right side near the profile pic icon, a new prompt pops up which allow you to post on your Timeline regardless currently you're looking at friend's timeline or page.
