Bit9 attacked by Hackers

Security software maker company Bit9's computers attacked by hackers and break their network system and also attack some of its customers.

The Hackers use a system that digitally sign its software to let users know it is safe to run on their computer then Hackers forged that digital signature on malicious software , That's the way how Hackers attack on customers's computer.

Bit9 confirm that  hackers were able to access its internal system because the company failed to install its own software on its network.
Bit9 has about 1000 customers including US Government agencies and major defence , energy and financial companies, is one of the leading providers of security technology known as "white listing". Bit9's website customers include the US military, intelligence agencies, five of the top 10 aerospace and defense companies in the Fortune 500, six of the top 10 petroleum refineries and three of the top 10 banks.

Unlike  normal anti-virus software , which block malicious programs , 'white listing' protect systems from attack by allowing computer to run programs from trusted vendors only.
